Great location near Parque del Perro

The woman who owns the property is lovely, and we were greeted with a delicious welcome drink on arrival. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Really cute outside area.

The room was very warm, and the curtains didn’t go to the top of the window so it was very light in the rooms from early in the morning. We were at the front of the property and there was a lot of noise from traffic early on too.

Quiet neighborhood Rooftop pool Clean

-Unattentive staff (one morning we waited an hour for a response about if there is breakfast) -The breakfast is served only until 9 and we wanted to sleep in some nights. We asked if they could prepare us breakfast and just save it in the fridge for us but they refused -Our flight got in at 11am and we had to wait until 3 for check in. They wouldn't let us even stay in the common area which would not have bothered anybody -Uncomfortable beds -We booked a room with a bathtub and when we got there they said there was a problem with the toilet so we had to choose between a room with air conditioning and no tub or the opposite

Modern beautiful house and best rest

This was a wonderful stay in a beautiful house. We had the best sleep here, and felt like at home. All facilities are very good, owners are super friendly and helpful. And the dog is cute! Thank you for everything!

The host was perfect, she was so kind and sweet, it felt like staying with family. Amazing breakfast and the house dog Fiona is lovely. A really great place to stay.

Everything!

Everything! Especially the beautiful host Gilma. She greeted us with a hug and made us feel so at home. Fresh fruit, tea and coffee in the morning. Lots of smiles and laughs. Comfortable beds, hot water, amazing house with a pool and spa. Cute dog Fiona. I would stay here forever if I could. We ended up having dinner and drinks on our last night. Best place I’ve ever stayed. We will miss you Gilma! ️

Lovely place to stay

This is a very nice place to stay, the lady running it is lovely. We loved Fiona the dog too! The pool was nice to have a dip in after a day in the heat, although it needed to be cleaned, there was debris all on the surface of the water. The room was spacious and really nice. Bed & pillows were comfy. It's well located, 10 mins walk to a grocery store & about 20 - 30 mins walk to the centre of town. Or a cheap/quick taxi ride. The kitchen was lovely to cook in aswell.

The jacuzzi wasn't clean and had no water in it so we couldn't use it. The pool needed to be cleaned. There was no hot water. It was also quite loud in the night on our first night there, we were woken up at 2am & then again at 5am by people talking loudly.

Comfortable room, nice pool, amazing hostess and dog!

The hostel is a large home and feels very comfortable. The hosts are extremely hospitable and Fiona, the house dog, is so sweet.

It's in a very nice and safe neighborhood but we did have a hard time getting our ubers to pick us up or drop us off, as the streets in Cali can be very confusing.

Gilma was a wonderful host who made us feel like family when...

Gilma was a wonderful host who made us feel like family when we first stepped off the plane. We cooks a wonderful breakfast and took us around to San Antonio and Cristo Rey. Her dog is so sweet. The pool and Jacuzzi were very nice as well. The room was beautiful and very comfortable.

It was a great stay!

I booked the room but Made a mistake in the date. That was not a problem, there was a room nice available. The owner was not at home but the restaurant next to it helped us by getting in the room. The bed is really comfortable and the bathroom was very nice and clean. We did a (private)tour with Carlos (horseriding to a coffeefarm and waterfall) and that was amazing! Carlos knows a lot of the nature and the town and Speaks really Good english. Before we did the tour we had to Check out but after the tour we could get a shower at the home of the family, that was so nice! Thank you so much for the great stay!

The only weird thing was that the shower sometimes went very cold for half a minute and then warm again.

The location of the hotel is in a safe neighborhood with...

The location of the hotel is in a safe neighborhood with nice parks, bars and restaurants a 10 min walk away. The hotel has some nice facilities.

Staff were really unfriendly. We asked where different things in Cali were and we were quickly told I don't know. It was pouring with rain and my girlfriend was ignored when she inquired about borrowing an umbrella. A really loud party went on outside till late and we had no power all morning.

best budget travel experience in two months in colombia... exceeded my expectations...

In two months of budget travel this was my best experience. Casa Crystales exceeded my expectations. The building is pretty cool with marble floor and stairs and vintage brass handrail. The location is in a good clean safe neighborhood, and close to everything. The rooms were big and there is extensive closet space. They have new big flat screen TVs with lots of channels. The manager and one of the staff members speak english and are really helpful, cheerful, friendly. The cook is a really kind sweet person and a good cook. She kept asking me if i needed to use her sugar, flour, and spices, and she made sure i knew how to use the stove and pressure cooker. They have a new fridge for guests which was clean and empty. The kitchen is great because it is large with marble counters and lots of pots and pans. This place has a nice patio and pool area for relaxing and socializing and or smoking and having a drink. They have free coffee which is fresh and good.

The only problem i had was the pool is small. Another issue is the terrain of the location is a bit steep ... if you are walking to the stores or parks you have to ascend / descend a series of stairs ... its going to take awhile to walk what looks like a few blocks on the map. but this is an issue throughout much of cali ...

Communication between staff wasn't very good and I didn't find that they were very helpful with things to do nearby, but they were overall very nice.

Very nice attractive hostel, and a pool to cool off. Very friendly staff- special thanks to Hakam, a great man who helped solve a problem with the booking. Highly recommended!!!
